Flabbergasted. That is what I am when I think about how amazing God made our feet. Have you noticed recently, or ever, how hard the earth is? Not everywhere, but mostly. Very hard. And our feet don’t really mind. Small in comparison to the rest of our bodies and somehow carries all that concentrated weight while obligingly treading on this hard surface. Seemingly undeterred.

read
Yesterday I joined the library. What a novel idea (pardon the pun). It seems that I have yet a lot to learn in this world. I mean, here I am, wanting to write, trying to think of ways to develop the skill, wondering if I’ll ever get there, and all the meanwhile the city is spread with libraries. Free to the public. No massive creative writing course fee or nothing. Free literature available to the public. A magnitude of wisdom all captured in a few rows of books. Incredible.

not understanding, and more
Can anyone tell me why there are so many brand new 5 cent coins around? They seem to be all over the place. My wallet is full of them, the petty cash box at work is overflowing with them, when I pay the parking attendant R4.10 he returns the two 5 cent pieces because clearly he has his own stash somewhere in a moon-bag.

On that note...
(That would be one of my treble cleft notes.) This is how I left my home in Sea Point last weekend.More than on a high note, it was from a high floor too, which made it rather difficult for those brave enough to manoeuvre my weighty case to ground level. I am of course pianoforte, owned by oneLisi of Cape Town.

Age-old wisdom
Last week I had a telephone call that changed my life. Ever wondered what it would be like to have a telephone conversation with God? Well, this was a bit like that. Jesus in particular. It felt like I was having a telephone conversation with Jesus.

The title, if I had one, would go here...
This blog is about us women and how our heads work and how men are on a different page, or possibly a different book.
[Disclaimer: Actually, it’s not about that at all. I have no idea what it’s about. Before you read on let me just warn you that there may not be a point to any of this blabbering. Yes, this may be five minutes wasted. Think about it. The author wishes not to waste anyone’s time. In fact, the author wishes to remind the reader of Psalm 139 where David says: “...in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me...”, implying that our days here are planned out, limited, precious, not a moment can be wasted. Henceforth, you are reading entirely at your own risk.]

Decadent wickedness
I am a sinful being.
For I do not understand my own actions. For I do not do what I want, but I do the very thing I hate. Now if I do what I do not want, I agree with the law, that it is good. So now it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells within me. For I know that nothing good dwells in me, that is, in my flesh. For I have the desire to do what is right, but not the ability to carry it out. For I do not do the good I want, but the evil I do not want is what I keep on doing. Now if I do what I do not want, it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells within me. Romans 7:15-20
The particular evil in question today is otherwise known as chocolate. If you are a guy, you can probably stop reading here as it is unlikely that you will relate to my pain. See, for a woman, our days here on earth can be divided into two broad categories:

I think I've killed my plant...
Thing is, I’ve never claimed to have green fingers. Much to the contrary, I’ve been very honest about my inadvertent tendency to kill plants. Almost by way of introduction. Hi, my name is Lisi, and plants in my care, die... So, what do you do?
