Miracles still happen

I think I’ve stopped using the word “hate” altogether. It’s just so strong and negative a term. Then again, it is quite an apt term when you think of hypocrisy, or pride. This morning, it occurred to me that the word “hate” is also perfectly appropriate in expressing my sentiments when it comes to the sound of my alarm clock at 4:50am.

Conclusive proof that I am but merely an aspiring nerd, for it is only common knowledge that every nerd out there has his or her own blog. Sort of like it’s part of the package. One geek equals goofy wardrobe, outstanding academic ability, arithmetic mastermind, relentless passion for sci-fi movies, superior IT skills, and of course one standard technologically enhanced blogspot! Standard nerd criterion. 

Moment of truth

Let me be the first to say that I would be lost without men in my life. An intrepid statement I dare say, but not without merit. Allow me to elaborate. 

Yesterday was gracious enough to bestow upon me one of those defining moments in which I could see the truth in its simplistic purity – men are good and useful creatures. 

God counts

On Wednesday I had to unravel a mighty mess of financial chaos (invoices, fee allocations, budgets, extended budgets, actual cost etc.) for a project that our firm has been undertaking for the last 16 months. Needless to say a tediously nit-picky nightmarish job for which I grossly lacked the mental capacity and physical energy. Also a job with a deadline.
